
ECL S49 Weeks 6-8 Recap - BLUEJAYS top the standings, Getting Info close behind
Weeks six through eight of ESL Challenger League just came to an end, with the top four holding a gap between themselves and the rest of the pack.
BLUEJAYS have taken the top spot on the table with an impressive 19-5 record. Getting Info are just behind them with a 17-3 record of their own, priming themselves to take the top spot if they continue their form.
Gavin "Fruitcupx" Norman is leading the way for BLUEJAYS with a 1.25 average rating, putting him in the top eight of all players in the league. Kyle "Wolffe Greenfield and Keller "SLIGHT" Nilan are just behind him with 1.24 and 1.22 ratings, respectively. As a team, they went 5-1 over the last three weeks, with two forfeit wins over Legacy, a 1-1 split with LFO 4, and a 2-0 win over Party Astronauts.
Getting Info have been arguably the most consistent team in the league, they went 3-1 in recent times with a sweep of the struggling InControl and a 1-1 split with Legacy. Deni "dea" Ediev is the best-performing player of anyone who isn't on Legacy, with a stunning 1.36 rating.
The most notable matchup of the period came from Nouns v. NRG. NRG began the double best of two with a 13-10 victory on Mirage, Alexander "br0" Bro led the way for NRG. The Dane secured a map-high 20 frags with a 1.36 rating. Nouns could not bounce back on Nuke, with a commanding 13-2 win going the way of NRG. This time, Jeorge "Jeorge" Endicott was putting up a 21-6 K/D ratio with an utterly disgusting 137 ADR and 2.36 rating.
SUPER EVIL GANG played spoiler once again, taking a map off of 5th-placed Vagrants to secure their fifth win of the season.
As of right now, Legacy are just about on the outside looking in at the playoffs, winning the majority of the games they've played but losing many due to forfeit.
