
ECL S49 Week 5 Recap - Getting Info continues impressive run, Party Astronauts stumble
Week five of ECL action has wrapped up, with many top teams in action. Legacy also competed in their first matches of the season this week, after suffering four forfeit losses due to being in South America.
Getting Info is at a stellar 14-2 record, top of the ESL Challenger League table. They did suffer their first losses of the season in this group of matches, splitting their double best-of-ones with Chill Guys and Vagrants. Deni "dea" Ediev continues to show good form, putting up consistent displays in every match this week. dea has a 1.37 HLTV rating, third in the league and first among players who have played 10+ maps - the top two players are from Legacy, who have only played six maps thus far.
Speaking of Legacy, they went flawless this week, going 6-0 v. LAG, Akimbo, and Incontrol - with the Incontrol match technically coming in Week 6. Eduardo "dumau" Wolkmer and Lucas "lux" Meneghini lead the league in HLTV rating, posting a 1.51 and 1.48 respectively.
Marsborne v. BLUEJAYS was the premier matchup of the week, with the two teams meeting on Dust2 and Ancient. Marsborne dominated on Dust2 as former Undone player Connor "chop" Sullivan posted a match-high 17 frags in the 13-3 victory. BLUEJAYS could not respond on Ancient, losing 13-9. Ian "motm" Hardy was a menace in the jungle, putting up a 22-11 K/D ratio to power his side to the win.
SUPER EVIL GANG upset Party Astronauts, taking both maps off of them to register their first map wins of the season. Party Astronauts have endured some internal strife, but are going to attempt to finish the rest of the season as a squad.
