BiBiAhn on replacing Kaoday: "There was just some personal conflict there"
FlyQuest RED have made two noticeably roster changes coming to the 2025 season as they parted ways with the previous head coach Luca "Munstur" Ioanițiu and replaced him with the NA veteran Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman, and replaced the experienced French IGL Coline "Kaoday" Le Floc'h with former Astralis Women player Marie "marie" Sørensen.
Dust2.us' Editor-in-Chief interviewed Vivienne "BiBiAhn" Quach after she played in Fragadelphia x BLOCK with Akimbo Lite and asked her insight about these roster changes and how they impacted FlyQuest RED so far.

I wanted to ask you about some recent changes to FlyQuest RED's ranks. We saw Munstur head back to Romania and now Shakezullah, previously your assistant coach, is now acting as your head coach. Has that changed the team in any appreciable ways, and what can you tell us about having him in the head coach role?
Shakezullah fits into like the 'NA banter' better. We had kind of trouble of just molding together [before] and Shake suits us better, personality-wise. He definitely saw things that we could do a lot better and differently, so yeah, I think Shake's been good.
Another change that the lineup saw was replacing Kaoday with marie. Why did the team decide to part ways with Kaoday?
There was just some personal conflict there and I think the org wasn't super happy with the results, so we had to make a change. We just took a risk changing the AWP role onto emy and then marie coming in as a rifler. We knew it was a big risk, but in practice, it has been paying off.
With Kaoday out of the squad, you lose sort of a veteran player and decide to pivot towards marie, who previously played for Astralis Impact out of Denmark. How did you find her and what was the process of bringing her on board to the FlyQuest squad?
Personally, I wasn't super familiar with marie. I think it was emy who was familiar with marie because we all played in the IESF tournament in Riyadh, and [marie] was there as well playing for Team Denmark. We noticed her just doing pretty well at the event and she reached out to us. From there on, we just talked to her.
How does she fit into the team? What's her personality in and off the server?
On the server, you can never feel bad or negative emotions from her. She's always trying to lift the team up as well and she kind of has this unique humor. When it comes to it, it's not like it is overdone whenever she's trying to push us up. It's natural for her to just keep the team in the game.
I think it's shown in matches as well where we do a huge comeback. I think it was against Lumen, she was still in [that match] and it's nice that the team has kept the mentality that we can always come back and win.
