Team boltz and Temperature give Team KSCERATO a heat check in MDL All-Star Game
Another iteration of the seasonal MDL All-Star Game has come to an end, this time featuring many Brazilian players and an unlikely star in the form of The Fundamentals' Nolan "Temperature" Pepper.
Things kicked off with the customary draft, which saw the Brazilian captains of Ricardo "boltz" Prass and Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato pick among national lines and take their three countrymen off the board first.
Cache opened up with boltz's squad on the CT-side, and it was all them as Yuri "yuurih" Santos teamed up with Temperature to power their team to a commanding 12-3 lead. Tyson "TenZ" Ngo, who actually woke up for this season's All-Star Game, helped bring his team back from a 14-6 deficit, but ultimately it was not enough as boltz and co. took the map 16-12.
Mirage was a more even affair in the first half, ending in a narrow 8-7 lead for KSCERATO's men. At the side switch, the captain decided to put the team on his back, only surrendering two rounds to the opposition and resulting in the most lopsided score of the three maps, 16-9.
On the deciding map of Inferno, which was voted on by the community, things again were neck-and-neck at the end of the first half, and again slightly in Team KSCERATO's favor. This time around, however, it was Temperature who stepped up for his team and locked down the defensive side, only allowing Team KSCERATOR two additional rounds.
The full rosters and prize winnings for the MDL Season 30 All-Star Game are:
