NRG run CeRqles around INTZ in ECS Season 7 Week 2
NRG have become the first team in the second week of ECS Season 7 to earn a spot in the grand finals. A swift 2-0 dismantling of INTZ saw Tarik "tarik" Celik and Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov completely demolish the Brazilian team, with both players ending the series with over 115 ADR.
Almost identical scorelines on the two maps saw NRG make short work of Vito "kNgV-" Giuseppe's side, with tarik racking up 144 ADR on the first map of Overpass to grant his team a 14-1 lead at the half. INTZ managed a second round by grabbing a pistol round win after the side swap, but NRG were quick to close out the map with two final rounds as tarik ended the map with a 2.30 rating.
It was a similar story on the second map of Train. This time it was CeRq who led the charge for NRG to put up another 14-1 half on the CT side, with the young Bulgarian grabbing himself 27 kills and averaging 153 damage per round. INTZ managed just a single round on their T side thanks to a 1vs2 clutch by kNgV-, allowing for NRG to close out the second map 16-1. CeRq ended the series averaging 131 damage per round over both maps, leaving INTZ firmly locked out of the running.
Having won their semifinal matchup, NRG have advanced to the grand finals of ECS Season 7 Week 2. They now await the winner of the match between compLexity and FURIA, set to play out tomorrow at 6 PM EDT.
