Ksharp to be first North American CS player inducted into Esports Hall of Fame
American Kyle "Ksharp" Miller will be inducted to the Esports Hall of Fame, ESL announced earlier today.
A fixture of Team 3D and the New York 3D of the Championship Gaming Series (CGS), Ksharp played with such notables as Sal "volcano" Garozzo, Ron "Rambo" Kim, Michael "method" So, and Griffen "shaGuar" Benger, among others.
Before co-founding the legendary team, he burst onto the scene alongside Rambo and Sean "Bullseye" Morgan in Xtreme 3 with a pair of top finishes at CPL events in 2001.
His playing career spanned roughly eight years, from 2000 to 2008, ending after the demise of the CGS when he elected to retire. All told, his trophy cabinet boasts two CPL first place finishes, and two WSVG first place finishes.
Since that retirement, he has worked for ESEA (now owned by ESL), and was actively playing lower divisions as recently as two seasons ago.
Upon his induction in a weeks time, he will join Ninjas in Pyjamas legend Emil "HeatoN" Christensen and Quake player Dennis "Thresh" Fong in the Hall of Fame.
