WESG 2018-2019 announced with Canada and US events
Alisports have released details regarding the upcoming edition of the World Electronic Sports Games at a press conference inSepang, Malaysia. The upcoming rendition of WESG will operate similarly to last year, with regional qualifiers in the Americas, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.
The upcoming edition will feature offline qualifiers for the United States and Canada, with both qualifiers being organized by WorldGaming in association with WESG. The WESG USA Finals will take place at the Santa Anito Park on an unknown date in Los Angeles, with the Canadian WESG Finals taking place at the Enthusiast Gaming Live Expo (EGLX) on October 26-28th in Toronto.
The Global Finals for WESG will take place in March and will feature four Invite slots, along with six teams from the Americas.

Alongside the main CS:GO tournament, the WESG Global Finals will feature a female tournament, with eight teams once again. Details regarding female qualifiers in the Americas have not yet been announced.

The prize pools for the CS:GO regional events and the Global Finals have not yet been released, however WESG announced that a total combined prize pool of $5.5 million will be put up for grabs across multiple games, including DOTA 2, StarCraft II, and of course Counter-Strike..
