tarik's strong performance was not enough to overcome North

Cloud9 lose opening match in Malmö

America's team squandered a strong CT side in their first LAN outing as a unit

The new-look Cloud9 (with the additions of Will "RUSH" Wierzba  and Tarik "tarik" Celik ) took on the new-look North (with the addition of Valdemar "valde" Bjørn Vangså) in their first matches at DreamHack Masters Malmö - the first offline action for both squads.

Inferno was the chosen battleground for the American and Danish sides, and it started off strong for the Americans as they took the pistol and the following two rounds. A 1v3 clutch from valde stopped their momentum, and from there the teams traded rounds, ending the half 9-6 in Cloud9's favor.

Despite a strong performance and near-clutch heroics from the new addition tarik, Cloud9 could only muster a single round on their Terrorist side, as the Danes overwhelmed them and brought the final scoreline to 16-10 in their favor.
