One done, two more wins needed

FaZe recover, knock Astralis out of BLAST Open Lisbon 2025

FaZe survived their first elimination match in BLAST Open Lisbon groups.

FaZe are through the BLAST Open Lisbon 2025 group A lower semifinals after dispatching Astralis in the first round of the lower bracket.

Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski and the rest of FaZe suffered a tough loss against Virtus.pro in their debut and will need to win two more series, in addition to this one against Astralis, to reach the playoffs of BLAST Open Lisbon.

FaZe had no trouble whatsoever defeating Astralis by 2-0. They won Train thanks to a nearly flawless CT side in the first half (11-1) and closed out the map before it got dangerous. Helvijs "broky" Saukants led the charges for FaZe as he dropped 22 kills.

The series proceeded to Nuke, FaZe map pick, and they had another strong first half. This time around, FaZe started on the T-side and absolutely bullied Casper "cadiaN" Møller in Ramp. It took nine rounds for the Astralis' IGL to find his first frag on the map.

Winning the second pistol gave a lifeline to Astralis, but FaZe broke their economy a couple of rounds later and ran away with an easy victory.
