EliGE held to zero rounds in a map for first time in a decade; see his previous 16-0 from 2015
After two competitive maps in their debut at BLAST Open Lisbon 2025, the final map in FaZe's series versus Virtus.pro quickly devolved into an absolute disasterlcass for Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski and co., with the 13-0 loss being the first time in six years that FaZe lost a map without winning a single round.
While that statistic is particularly embarrassing for the FaZe organization, it is even worse for EliGE as America's most decorated player hasn't lost a map 13-0 or 16-0 in nearly ten years, with his last "goose egg" dating all the way back to 2015.
This previous blowout loss came early in EliGE's career during his first year with Liquid in the team's opening match at the FACEIT League 2015 Stage 3 Finals in Jönköping. This opener saw Liquid face TSM on Overpass, being utterly blown out by a masterclass performance from Nicolai '"device" Reedtz while Liquid itself struggled immensely.
In a somewhat ironic twist, EliGE's current skipper, Finn "karrigan" Andersen, featured in both his first 16-0 and his first 13-0.
Liquid would go on to exit this event after a win over Australian squad Legacy and a loss to Virtus.pro. Hopefully this does not serve as a bad omen for FaZe in their lower bracket match against Astralis on March 21st at 09:30AM.
