Aetheris, supposed org run by Brazilian 1.6 player, drops Ukrainian ECL squad
Yesterday Aetheris was spotted donning the "Worms" tag on HLTV and in ESL Challenger League Season 49, seemingly marking the squads latest rebrand after switching from Make Your Mind to Aetheris at the start of the year. However, in a previously unknown detail, Ruslan "Rulik" Tkhoryk revealed to Dust2.us that Aetheris was in fact an organization that has been supporting the team in their ECL S49 campaign.
With this "organization" boasting no social media and a clearly AI-generated logo, it is unsurprising this fact flew under everyone's radar, but Rulik tells the publication that Aetheris was supposedly the personal vehicle of a "Brazilian ex-1.6 player" who was apparently helping the team with some financial support and a coach. Rulik told Dust2.us that he personally was unaware of who this pro was, with further requests asked ahead of publication going unanswered.
The surprising source of support had unfortunately not done much to improve Worms' competitive fortunes as the squad currently sits toward the bottom of the league with a 6-12 record.
Worms are now:
-
Andrii "karv3r" Levchenko
-
Andrii "s1renaa" Nahirnyi
-
Ruslan "Rulik" Tkhoryk
-
Mikhail "graphX" Graf
-
Oleksandr "xsany" Bubnov
-
Andrey "S0ph3r" Afanasyev (Substitute)
Worms' next outing in the league will see them take on Legacy on March 25th.
