Make Your Mind swap two and rebrand ahead of ECL debut

The European squad have made a number of personnel changes.

Make Your Mind have confirmed to Dust2.us that the lineup has swapped two players ahead of their debut in ESL Challenger League Season 49, seeing Andrey "HorizoN" Charykov and Andrey "S0ph3r" Afanasyev make way for Mikhail "graphX" Graf and Oleksandr "xsany" Bubnov on the lineup. Additionally, the team have adopted a new moniker, and will now play together as Aetheris moving forward.

S0ph3r told Dust2.us the changes to the team are due to no longer wanting to play with 120+ ping from Russia while HorizoN was reportedly replaced on the roster for an undisclosed reason. The former player noted that he will stay on the roster as a substitute moving forward, however the ping and time zone differences likely make that an unenticing prospect.

The two incoming players, graphX and xsany, join Aetheris after spending last season with VitaPLUR in ESEA Advanced. They are also regulars in the Eastern European émigré community, having played with a number of players from that clique.

This will be both of their first seasons in ECL, with the squad unique being an entirely European squad active in the NA league.

Aetheris are now:

  • Andrii "karv3r" Levchenko

  • Andrii "s1renaa" Nahirnyi

  • Ruslan "Rulik" Tkhoryk

  • Mikhail "graphX" Graf

  • Oleksandr "xsany" Bubnov

  • Andrey "S0ph3r" Afanasyev (Substitute)

ESL Challenger League Season 49 is set to start on January 21st.

Editor's Note: graphX is somewhat known for being unable to settle on an alias, you may also know him as heroin555, heroin666, or noto-. Here's hoping he settles on an alias soon.

Not playing on 120+ ping from a different country is understandable
