
Tsunami and anything else qualify for ESL Challenger League S50
ESEA Advanced Playoffs in North America is coming to a conclusion, with the spots in next season's ESL Challenger League having been decided.
Tsunami and anything else both fell down to the loser's bracket from the upper semifinal, where each of the sides lost to LoboArmy and Marca Registrada, respectively.
Upon falling into the lower bracket, Tsunami faced off against the best team from the regular season, MIGHT.
Tsunami picked Ancient, and it was the Evindar "drop" Isik show from the jump. The Canadian put up a match-high 13 frags on their T side, with the scores even at six at the interval. Connor "CoolComs" Barnes activated in the second half for Tsunami, posting double-digit frags to help his team secure the 13-8 win on map one.
Map two was MIGHT's pick - Anubis. Tsunami and drop didn't care. MIGHT took the first two rounds of the match but only secured one more in the remainder of the game. drop was electric on the T side once again, posting a 15-7 K/D ratio to lead his team to a 9-3 first-half lead. Tsunami didn't let MIGHT have a chance in the game, taking the map 13-3 and winning the match 2-0.
anything else played Wanted Goons in the second lower bracket semifinal.
anything else selected Mirage and started on the T side. Kevin "cypress" Quib kept his side in the match with a 17-7 scoreline to push anything else to a 6-6 half. Christian "mcniff" McNiff picked up where cypress left off and put up 18 frags on the second side, where anything else secured the 13-11 win
The second map moved to Wanted Goons choice of Nuke. The Goons fell flat, and anything else took advantage. A huge 9-3 CT side all but secured the match for anything else. cypress again dominated on the attacking side, posting a 13-3 stat line in the second half to lead them to a 13-6 win.
The next edition of ECL will start on August 5th. Meanwhile, Marca Registrada will face LoboArmy tonight in the upper bracket finals of ESEA Advanced Season 52.
