PGL Bucharest NA CQ invites, groups revealed

After previously postponing the PGL Bucharest Closed Qualifiers, PGL have finally confirmed that the qualifiers will start a day later on March 5th. With this, the tournament organizers have also revealed the VRS invites for the North American Closed Qualifier, with a veritable who's who of the NA scene set to contest the event. The highest-ranked team in the event are Wildcard, who are currently ranked #5 on the Americas VRS.

As previously mentioned, the 32-team event leaves plenty of room for notable ranked squads to get into the event, with M80 being the only team of note skipping the qualifier for the Romanian LAN.

The following teams have received invites to the PGL Bucharest NA Closed Qualifier:

These fourteen teams have been joined by the following teams from the open qualifiers:

Notably Davai Napadai has been called up from the second open qualifier to replace Chicken Coop who pulled out of the qualifier.

The 32 teams will be divided into four groups, with one team from each advancing into the finals where one winner will be decided. With all of these teams lined up, here are what the four groups for the event look like:

The massive closed qualifier is set to start on March 5th and run until March 10th, offering one spot into the Romanian LAN. The team will fight to join Liquid in the main event as NA's sole representatives.
