PGL Bucharest NA Closed Qualifier postponed

PGL has postponed the PGL Bucharest Closed Qualifiers across Europe, South America, and North America.

The NA Closed Qualifier was scheduled to kick off on March 4th, but now PGL will use this day to announce the new date.

PGL stated that they're "refining the invitation process to ensure consistency and fairness for all teams" and to "better comply with the Tournament Operations Requirements". The tournament organizer also apologized for postponing the Closed Qualifiers for Bucharest.

"We’re deeply sorry for the trouble," PGL said. "We’ll make sure to do better in the future and avoid mistakes like this again."

The PGL Bucharest NA Closed Qualifier will see 32 teams fight for one spot at the event. Seventeen teams earned their spot through the Open Qualifiers and the remaining fifteen will receive an invite based on the Americas Valve Regional Standings (VRS) on March 2nd.

PGL Bucharest will run from April 5th-13th and 16 teams will fight for their share of the $1,250 million prizepool.
