M80 fall to SAW 2-1 at EPL Season 21
This 2-0 matchup was a back-and-forth affair. Both teams found joy on their own map pick, but SAW would claim victory in the decider. M80 now sit at 2-1 with SAW securing their place in the second stage of EPL after this win.
The first map went entirely the way of SAW. The Portuguese majority only surrendered three rounds on Inferno, securing the 13-3 victory in style. Oscar "AZUWU" Bell shined. SAW's new signing went 21-7, giving M80 no hope on the first map.
The North American/German mix bounced back on map two. M80's map, Ancient, was neck-and-neck with SAW holding onto a 9-8 lead late in the game. M80 didn't give up another round after that, claiming victory 13-8, powered by Michael "Swisher" Schmid 21-11 scoreline.
The decider was Dust2. Both sides went on their respective runs in the first half. SAW sprinted to a 5-1 lead before M80 clawed back to even the score at 6-6 at halftime. SAW again secured five early rounds in the second half, leading the match 11-6 before M80 made the game closer, but it wasn't enough. Despite only having 15 frags in the first two maps combined, Jan "cej0t" Dyl registered a ludicrous 37 kills to just 13 deaths in the third and final map. This performance gave SAW the boost they needed to achieve victory and a spot in Stage 2 of EPL.
