Certain skins give scoped rifle users a huge advantage

The view for players aiming the SG 553 with the scope is drastically different depending on skin equipped. Players with an older skin equipped get the older scope, which provides a much more favorable view.

CS2 content creator Thour noticed this and posted it on X, showing the difference in view when scoped in with the default Krieg and an older skin. The interior circular view of the scope with a skin equipped is much wider than the default model. The exterior of the default scope itself also blocks more space than the older model does with a skin equipped.

There are also differences when using the AUG. The default AUG's scope has a bigger circular view, but the exterior takes up more space. The older AUG skins have a smaller circular view, but the exterior scope itself blocks less of the screen. However, the differences are for more noticeable in the SG 553.

While the AUG difference aren't super substantial, the SG 553 scope differences clearly favor players using skins that equip the older model. Thankfully, the SG 553 is not as powerful as it was back during its heyday in 2019, but skins having this great an effect on gameplay will almost certainly elicit a response from Valve.
