Akimbo win $1,000 CAD Rivalry Cash Clash over Take Flyte

Akimbo won the Rivalry Cash Clash, a $1,000 CAD online tournament organized by Rivalry and Do Not Peek Entertainment, this Sunday, February 2nd. A total of 20 teams played in the tournament, which used a single-elimination bracket.

Akimbo played Rivalry Cash Clash with Bishrel "N2o" Tamir, Yizhi "zy" Zhou, Kamron "kmrn" Manii, Taggert "taggy" Baker, and eutopia. They had a bye in the first round and went on to defeat Kinderheim 511, Amped, and Aura in best-of-one series before meeting Take Flyte in the BO3 grand finals.

Although Akimbo defeated Take Flyte by 2-0 to win Rivalry Cash Clash, the grand finals was everything but easy. Akimbo beat Take Flyte on Ancient (13-10) thanks to N2o dropping a 30-bomb, while kmrn was the one to step up on Mirage (13-11) and deliver 25 kills.
