Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series announce Additional Info for our first event!

Read all about the key details for our first event!

In line with Valve's requirements for Tier 2 Ranked events, Dust2.us is pleased to share a number of key details about the first event in Dust2.us and INUI's Eagle Masters Series! Importantly, this will fulfill our obligations under Valve’s Tournament Operating Requirements for "Additional Info" regarding our tournament so that things will be ready to kick off in early March!

One important thing to note is that to comply with the requirements, the format for all Eagle Masters Series events has been changed to increase the number of direct VRS invites from ten (10) to twelve (12). This will decrease the number of teams coming from the open qualifiers from six (6) to four (4).

Event Type: The first and all future Eagle Masters Series events will be Tier 2 ranked events using the Americas VRS Sub-list with an added regional filter for North American teams.

Number of Invites: The first and all future Eagle Masters Series events will invite twelve (12) teams from the VRS.

VRS Starting Rank for Invites: With the previously mentioned sub-list and filter, the Eagle Masters Series will start at Rank 1 and proceed down the list until all twelve invites are filled.

Invitation Date: The first Eagle Master Masters Series event will send out invites on March 6th and use the March Valve Regional Standings update.

Location: The first and all future Eagle Masters Series events will be online and held on the INUI platform.

Qualifiers: Each event in the Eagle Masters Series will hold four open qualifiers on the INUI platform to fill four spots in the Swiss Stage (Closed Qualifier). Each of the four qualifiers will qualify one team only. The open qualifiers will be restricted to teams residing in North America.

The format for the open qualifiers will be a single-elimination bracket with Bo1 matches until the decider match, which will be a Bo3.

Prize Pool: The total prize pool for each Eagle Master Series event will be $10,000 USD, with the following split:

  • 1st Place: $5,000 USD

  • 2nd Place: $3,000 USD

  • 3rd-4th Place: $1,000 USD each

Additional Compensation: The Eagle Master Masters Series offers no additional compensation to teams, organizations, or players outside of the previously mentioned prize pool.

Invite Exceptions: The Eagle Master Masters Series reserves the right to disqualify teams from a Direct VRS invite should a player on the team be banned by ESL FACEIT Group (EFG), the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC), BLAST, or other major tournaments organizers, via Valve Anti Cheat (VAC), or on the FACEIT platform or INUI platform for a serious infraction (including but not limited to cheating, ban evasion, matchfixing, or misconduct). In line with Valve's requirements any disqualifications will be published on Dust2.us.

With all of that said, you can expect to see more important news, updates, and information about the Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series in the coming days and weeks. All of us at Dust2.us are so excited to kick off the league and cannot wait to see you there!
