Former FlyQuest RED AWPer joins all-French team

Kaoday is back in Europe after being released by FlyQuest.

Former FlyQuest RED AWPer Coline "Kaoday" Le Floc'h was found a new home, joining all-French ESL Impact squad Prototype Blaze yesterday. The move sees Kaoday return to the European scene after spending the past two years in North America under CLG Red and FlyQuest RED while the squad itself represents something of a French Women's "Superteam", bringing together the most experienced and accomplished names from the country.

The roster previously competed at IESF Female World Esports Championship 2024 as a mixteam, finishing the Saudi event in second place after falling to Team Poland in the finals. Kaoday is joined on the team by former NAVI Javelins player Mayline "ASTRA" Champliaud, former Let Her Cook player Rachel "RacheLL" Kujawa, Julie "Monkey D. Julie" Chehab, and Yousra "Emerald" Bernardone.

ASTRA and RacheLL have a number of ESL Impact League finals appearances under their belt while Monkey D. Julie is a veteran of the women's scene, having began competing in 2010 in the latter days of Counter-Strike 1.6. Emerald is the least experienced of the quintet, however she has made a number of appearances at IESF, WESG, and Copenhagen Games over the years.

Finally, the team has enlisted Léo "Kan4" Intronati to coach the squad after he hung up the mouse in 2021.

Prototype Blaze consists of:

  • Coline "Kaoday" Le Floc'h

  • Mayline "ASTRA" Champliaud

  • Rachel "RacheLL" Kujawa

  • Julie "Monkey D. Julie" Chehab

  • Yousra "Emerald" Bernardone

  • Léo "Kan4" Intronati (Coach)

Prototype Blaze are currently fighting for a spot in the European division of ESL Impact League Season 7, with the team set to play the third-place decider of the first open qualifier tomorrow against Permitta W after being bested by Julia "juliano" Kiran's Eco Warriors in the qualification match earlier today.
