Voltage returns to competition with MIGHT
On January 19th, Alexander "REKMEISTER" Flynn announced that he had been benched on MIGHT due to role issues, seeing the recent addition now set to look for a new home less than a week after formally joining orgless lineup. Dust2.us has learned that MIGHT have found a replacement for the rifler, with former Chaos and Triumph AWPer Logan "Voltage" Long coming out of retirement to join the lineup.
Voltage's return to action sees the player join his first time since 2022, having retired from competitive CS:GO after six years representing teams including SoaR, Spacestation, Chaos, and Triumph. Since then, the player has kept the game at arm's length but was recently spotted stepping in for MIGHT during the Chicken Coop New Year's Cash Cup in place of Ryan "Snakes" Amann.
Voltage told Dust2.us that he made the decision to return to competition after finishing college and earning his degree, allowing him to focus on the game without feeling guilt associated with putting off school to play CS. Voltage says he now has a healthy mindset in regards to the game while balancing his full-time job and that he wants to compete until he at least earns stickers in the game.
On a practical level, Voltage's addition sees him relieve the AWP role from his former teammate, Snakes, who's lack of interest and success in the role pushed for the team to find a long-term solution. This resulted in REKMEISTER being benched to free up space,
With Voltage, MIGHT are now:
-
Jonathan "djay" Dallal
-
Ryan "Snakes" Amann
-
Nolan "Louie" Herges
-
Jared "Jared" Habib
-
Logan "Voltage" Long
-
Calvin "becker" Becker (Coach)
-
Alexander "REKMEISTER" Flynn (Inactive)
MIGHT's next match in ESEA Advanced Season 52 will be tonight against Aether.
