ESL announce EPL S22 will head to Stockholm after Valve warning

On January 18th, ESL announced the location of ESL Pro League Season 22, the second season of 2025, with the event set to take place in Stockholm, Sweden. The location of the LAN is unsurprising as Season 21 is set to take place in the Swedish capital, however the announcement came after pressure from Valve to have TOs announce missing details about 2025 LAN tournaments.

Some of the best teams in the world will go head-to-head in Sweden for the $1,000,000 prize pool in each tournament. The first EPL season of 2025 will run from March 1st to 16th while the second season will run from September 27th to October 12th.

Along with announcing the location of ESL Pro League Season 22, ESL have also published an update for their ESL Pro Tour rulebook, bringing it in line with Valve's requirements.

While this leaves most of ESL's calendar known, the TO have are notably yet to announce the location of IEM Spring 2025, which is only three months ago, with the event currently not in compliance with Valve's rules.
