hastr0 reacquires Envy brand
On January 17th Mike "hastr0" Rufail announced on X that he had reacquired the Envy brand two years after the organization's merger with fellow NA heavyweights OpTic on June 27th, 2022.
Along with the Envy brand, included in this transaction will be Dallas Fuel and Dallas Empire of the Overwatch and Call of Duty Leagues respectively.
He also stated that he would no longer be a shareholder or associated with OpTic following the reacquisition of Envy.
Envy were prominent in the Counter-Strike scene from their multiple French rosters, including a Major win at DreamHack Cluj-Napoca in 2015. The organization last competed in CS in 2021 with a North American roster.
While hastr0 has not said much about Envy's plans following its complete break from OpTic, the team have already signed a new Apex Legends roster and will likely be aiming their portfolio throughout 2025.
