Minus announces return to competition after previous mental health struggles
Former ATK and Orgless player Marshall "Minus" Sedowicz announced his intentions to search for a new team in late November, seeing the 21-year-old AWPer return to the scene after last playing the game seriously in early 2022. In 2025, Minus says he is looking for a fresh start as a player after a protracted mental health struggle that he says affected his ability to play while on previous teams.
In a thread on X, Minus described his mental health battle with schizoaffective disorder, which includes conditions like schizophrenia, that affected his motivation and ability to play due to manic episodes, hallucinations, and depression associated with the condition.
Minus admitted that his battles with schizoaffective disorder early in his adult life made him unable to be the best teammate he could be, however with a new medication and self-care regimen he says he is ready to return to competition and feels that form is at an all-time high.
Minus' X post drew support from a number of figures in the CS community, with well wishers including Tyler "tweiss" Weiss, Collin "CoJoMo" Moren, and Fisher College coach Anthony "ynoT" Vitale.
Back in 2021, Minus was notably listed by Complexity star Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski as his bold prediction for 2022, with the player aiming to rebuild his reputation as a rising star in the NA scene.
