Breaking: Perseverance League collapses amidst allegations of fraud

Another project from Perseverance has gone up in flames.

Late last night in a shocking development, Take Flyte's CEO and co-Founder, Saben "Sabe" Neale, came out publicly to announce that his team would be pulling out of the Perseverance League effective immediately, alleging that the league run in partnership between Take Flyte and Perseverance had engaged in fraud and other financial "inconsistencies".

The announcement by Neale last night comes less than three weeks into the start of the Perseverance League, a $43,500 series of tournaments run primarily by Alexanne "Keke" Shoter, the owner of Perseverance.

While details are still emerging about the situation with the Perseverance League, the relationship between Take Flyte's owners and Shoter appear to be so degraded that Neale was openly instructing people on how to file chargebacks, as seen below, with PayPal for league registration fees, pointing to the league having completely collapsed.

Neale also noted that all efforts to contact Shoter have been ineffective, with the Canadian reportedly going missing amidst these allegations. It is also worth noting that Shoter also recently joined Take Flyte as Chief Financial Officer and co-Owner back in early September, suggesting a very serious breakdown in relations between the two parties running the league.

Despite these entanglements, Saben has attempted to distance Take Flyte from Shoter and Perseverance, noting in a message on the Perseverance Discord that, "this was all Perseverance Gaming responsibility. Ultimately, myself and Nello are just helpers of making the actual league run."

Dust2.us is currently investigating the situation, with the publication reaching out to Shoter, Neale, and Anello for comment. Take Flyte told Dust2.us that they plan on releasing a further statement today with more details while Shoter did not respond to a request for comment ahead of publication.

While details are still emerging, Dust2.us understands that multiple admins and casters are owed $100s of dollars for services rendered while teams are scrambling to recover league fees and other expenses.
