Breaking: $100,000 Perseverance Cup postponed indefinitely under tragic circumstances

Tragic circumstances have resulted in the Canadian LAN being postponed until further notice.

Perseverance have today announced that the $100,000 Perseverance Cup LAN event has been indefinitely postponed under tragic circumstances.

According to a message released by Perseverance, one of the organization's founding members and primary investor, Andrew, died from suicide, devastating the small organization while also severing a major source of financial support necessary to fulfill the promises made for the upcoming LAN event.

The LAN event, which was originally set to run from November 2nd to November 3rd was a source of major excitement in the NA community as the $100,000 LAN was set to feature several top NA teams competing for a truly impressive prizepool for a new tournament organizer.

The event's indefinite postponement follows the conclusion of the first open qualifier on August 10th, while the second open qualifier was scheduled to run at the end of the month.

In Perseverance's announcement, the organization stated that it will be temporarily ceasing operations under further notice intending to return in the future, resume operations, and host the LAN event.

Should the TO be able to resume operations, Dust2.us understands that they plan to contact the currently qualified and invited teams in order to inform them of future plans and resend invites.
