Perseverance reveal invites for $100,000 LAN

The first eight teams in the Canadian LAN have been revealed.

Perseverance have announced invites for their $100,000 Perseverance Cup, seeing the likes of Nouns, Wildcard, and Party Astronauts headline the list of teams invited to compete in the Toronto LAN. The Perseverance Cup is set to run from November 2nd to November 3rd and is the first event held by the new organization, coming only six months after beginning operations in mid-May.

The eight teams invited to the event represent some of NA's top domestic squads albeit with some notable omissions. M80 and NRG missed out on invites while the inclusion of Limitless has raised some consternation in the community due to the team's poor form and ranking by HLTV and Valve. It is, of course, worth noting that TOs are free to invite whoever they want to their events, especially in a pre-VRS world.

With the qualifiers offering eight spots into the main event, this issue may be self-correcting, however, as any top NA teams that missed out on an invite will have the chance to battle their way into the Canadian LAN in short order.

The team list for the Perseverance Cup is currently as follows:

United States BOSS
United States Elevate
Brazil E-Xolos LAZER
United States LAG
United States Limitless
United States Nouns
United States Party Astronauts
World Wildcard
