steel and Undone will aim for a spot in ECL via Relegation after falling in Advanced playoffs

ESL Challenger League S48 Relegation set to start tonight

Over the next five days the final two squads in ECL S49 will be decided.

ESL Challenger League Season 48 Relegation is set to start tonight, seeing six teams battle for two spots in ESL Challenger League Season 49 next year. The event will feature two squads from ESL Challenger League S48, LAG and Take Flyte, alongside four squads from ESEA Advanced Seasons 50 and 51.

The two ECL teams in the bracket were the squads that had the second and third-lowest record in ECL's regular season, with LAG posting a 6-22 record while Take Flyte finished with a 5-23 record. LAG head into this roster as a "dead" roster in all but name as they will be fielding former players Nick "nicx" Lee and Raymon "rayxts" Mando alongside Deniz "Experative" Mutlum, who is reportedly also out of the team.

On the ESEA Advanced side, Alter Ego are the top seed on account of finishing ESEA Advanced Season 51 in second place. However, they are not really the main event as all eyes will be on Josh "steel" Nissan's Undone roster. steel and co. will aim to qualify to ESL Challenger League as heavy favorites despite unfortunate circumstances denying the squad a deeper run in Advanced playoffs itself.

The full team list for ESL Challenger League Season 48 Relegation consists of:
