LAG pivot away from NA for final tournaments of 2025

After a difficult season that saw LAG lose Bogdan "ogwizard" Savula to Party Astronauts, be sent to the relegation tournament in ESL Challenger League Season 48 after a 6-22 season, and then lose Nick "nicx" Lee and Raymon "rayxts" Mando to timbermen, it appears that LAG have gone back to the drawing board and are in the process of testing a new European-majority roster for 2025.

While the organization has yet to comment on their future, they are currently fielding a new lineup in the Perseverance League Persevere Division featuring Wyatt "Weeza" Sahrmann and Alperen "TR0JN" Kilic from their current lineup alongside German rifler Samet "SnacKZ1" Hosel, Austrian Ufuk "sehza" Hosafci, and the 16-year-old American Pishoy "den1ed" M.

Notably absent from this lineup is LAG's long-time IGL, Deniz "Experative" Mutlum, whose leadership was crucial in the team qualifying to ECL S47 and subsequently making playoffs in their first ECL season. This new lineup recently played their first match together in the Persevere Division, facing a 2-0 loss to Mythic in the Swiss bracket.

According to sources within the team, LAG's future with this lineup and their previous lineup is up in the air, with the organization awaiting the results of Relegation to plot their future course. LAG's survival in Relegation is complicated by the need to use nicx, rayxts, and Experative for the event, although the players have told Dust2.us they are willing to play the event in early December.

Beyond that, it remains to be seen what form this roster will take in 2025 as Experative told Dust2.us that he is unsure of his availability due to work and other commitments while head coach Kadir "ElPrincipe" Sivri admitted things are not clear right now.

Interestingly, Dust2.us understands that SnackZ1 and sehza are currently located in NA, with the DACH duo potentially bringing their talents to LAG or another NA team next year.

Dust2.us reached out to LAG for comment, with LAG's co-owner JarBox declining to comment ahead of publication.
