WOOD7: "It was frustrating for us to lose to RED Canids and Galorys in the RMR qualifier"

While ODDIK failed to make it out of their group the Brazilian underdogs had high expectations for the event after qualifying over BESTIA and RED Canids. In our final media day interview of the event, Jeffrey "Mnmzzz" Moore spoke to Adriano "WODDY7" Cerato on Thursday about qualifying for ESL Challenger Atlanta, the team's expectations for the event, who ODDIK's stars are, and WOOD7's decision to become an IGL, among other topics.

ODDIK qualified to ESL Challenger Atlanta by taking down RED Canids twice. Did it feel good to take them down after they denied ODDIK a spot at the RMR?

I always fight versus RED Canids, I love playing against these guys. It's an easy game for us I think and it's funny because we played against RED Canids once already and BESTIA are a strong team as well.

Did the revenge feel good after missing out on the RMR?

It was frustrating for us to lose to RED Canids and Galorys in the RMR qualifier. We were preparing for the RMR but shit happens and that's it.

On HLTV, the team is ranked 74th. Do you think that low ranking is reflecting of the team's skill and potential?

I think it is because in Brazil we don't receive many ranking points compared to other regions. Our championships don't give many points compared to those in other regions. The South American region receives less points than other regions but our team is prepared to fight anyone.

ODDIK are in a difficult group with BIG, M80, and Wildcard. Do you aim to surprise people here?

Yeah, I expect great things for us, we can BIG and M80 and fight for the championship.

A lot of NA fans are not that familiar with my ODDIK, can you give us an overview of your team?

I think the most famous guy in our team is togs because he is an internet superstar in Brazil. He's a pug player like XANTARES and donk in Europe. We have other good players like ksloks and I'm happy to be the experienced guy but we have a lot of firepower and a lot of fun guys. It's a cool team.

Is togs the player we should be watching this weekend?

Yeah, he's the super star in our team but ksloks, matios, naitte, all the players have potential to do great things.

You have always been the IGL of your teams, what made you decide to become an IGL early in your career?

I am an IGL in my life, I try to be a leader in everything. It's normal for me to be a leader I think because of something inside me.

You landed here yesterday and told me you went to the Coca-Cola Museum. Is there any other fun things you want to do during your first time in America?

We want to go to the Aquarium and the Mercedes-Benz [Arena] and we want to buy some things because Brazil is much more expensive to buy things than in the USA. Atlanta is nice to go to the outlets because buying some things in Brazil is so expensive.

Unfortunately WOOD7 and ODDIK's run here at ESL Challenger Atlanta was cut to an early end as the team were eliminated during day one after losses to BIG and Wildcard.
