Complexity rallies with victory versus Astralis
After a surprisingly decisive loss to M80 to kick off their ESL Pro League run, Complexity came firing back with a 2-0 win versus Astralis, though the NA side needed overtime on both maps to close it out against the Danes.
The series started, as expected, on Complexity's choice of Vertigo. But like yesterday's map one versus M80, Complexity struggled on their T-side, only producing three rounds. Despite getting eco'd after winning second half pistol, Complexity played a stellar CT-side, with Ricky "floppy" Kemery delivering heroics in round 24 to force overtime. After perfect T-sides from each team in the first overtime, Complexity narrowly closed out Vertigo 19-17 in the second OT.
On Inferno, Complexity kept the first half close with a solid 6-6 performance on their CT-side, despite losing the first three rounds on a map they're not particularly strong on. They managed to take the first three rounds on the T-side thanks to lightning fast site takes, but let Astralis back into the match after losing to a forcebuy. Back and forth heroics from both teams eventually led to a 12-11 lead for Astralis, but a messy A Long play combined with a backstab from Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski sent the map to overtime again.
Johnny' "JT" Theodosiou's triple kill to open the first T-side round set the tone for overtime, as Complexity took two of the three T-side rounds in the first half. The first CT round in overtime also went the way of Complexity, this time thanks to a sick triple from Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli's AWP, and Astralis' T-side collapsed en route to a 16-14 win for Complexity.
