Liquid stunned in Rio qualifier

The night ended with a shock as Liquid were sent to the lower bracket at the hands of Legacy. The international squad were stunned as the Brazilian squad came back from 0-1 down in the series to take a 2-1 victory that sent them directly to the grand final.

Liquid will play in the Consolidation Final against FLUFFY AIMERS, whom they had previously dispatched in an easy 2-0 victory.

Liquid's performances last night were not up to par, for the organization. Head coach Torbjørn "mithR" Nyborg described the performances as a "Rough day" and "definitely not the kind of CS we want to play."

LAG continued to have a tough run of form at the other end of the bracket after their disappointing RMR performance. The squad were defeated 2-1 at the hands of Legacy in the opening round match and then eliminated 2-0 by FLUFFY AIMERS.

Now, Liquid will have to fight back today as they will face FLUFFY AIMERS once more with Legacy awaiting in the Grand Final for the sole North American spot at IEM Rio 2024. Liquid have been the favorites to qualify for the event, but an upset from the Brazilian lineup would certainly send shockwaves through the scene.
