ELEAGUE Major Boston fourth round matchups drawn
The third day of the New Challengers stage has come to a close. Cloud9 and G2 have both qualified for the second stage of the Major following victories over mousesports and Vega Squadron, respectively. The day also saw Flash and FlipSid3 make their exit with both squads unable to pick up a win. This will be the first time in Major history that Denis "seized" Kostin and Yegor "markeloff" Markelov don't make an appearance in the round of sixteen.
The 2-1 pool will see the sharks of Vega Squadron square up against the horse of Liquid. If Liquid were to succeed, they would be the second North American team to qualify — following Cloud9. It'll also see the titans from FaZe face off against Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and co., with the victor moving on to the main stage of the Major.
The 1-2 pool sees a number of underdogs facing heavy opposition. The Frenchmen from EnVyUs will have one more chance to remain competitive as they look to take down Quantum Belator Fire. The remaining two (partially) North American teams, Misfits and Renegades, will face AVANGAR and Sprout respectively as they try to avoid elimination.
