Partynauts rain on Phoenix's parade; Elevate start with a win
The second set of games of the North American Closed Qualifier for the Americas RMR has reached an end as Party Astronauts have defeated Phoenix and Elevate secured a comfortable win over Limitless despite losing both pistol rounds. PA and Elevate join Legacy and Wildcard as the 1-0 teams, while Phoenix and Limitless fall down to the 0-1 bracket alongside LAG and Mythic.
After a controversial couple of weeks, the former Perseverance squad, now under the Phoenix alias, have returned to the spotlight of NA CS as they almost got completely destroyed by Partynauts, only to almost come back and eventually lose 13-8 after being down 11-1 and managing to erase that deficit to an 11-8 score line.
One might say they ran out of power as they reached a more balanced score. Adam "WolfY" Andersson finished the map with 27 kills.
Elevate took care of Limitless comfortably, even though Derek "dare" Brown and co. were unable to secure a single pistol round. The first half ended with Elevate leading 8-4 going into the second half, where Limitless were only able to add two more ounds to the scoreboard. dare was the main shooter for Elevate as he ended the map with 25 kills and only 11 deaths.
The next two Bo1 matches will feature E-Xolos LAZER facing off against Homyno and BOSS taking on Take Flyte.
