ESL Challenger Katowice rescheduled

The Polish LAN will now be held in late October.

ESL have announced that ESL Challenger Katowice has been rescheduled, with the Polish LAN event now set to run from October 25th to the 27th. The Challenger LAN was initially scheduled to run from November 22nd to the 24th, however those dates conflict with the upcoming Perfect World Shanghai Major RMRs and also run dangerously close to the Shanghai Major itself, likely greatly limiting attendance to the event.

With the new schedule, the event will run around three weeks after ESL Challenger Atlanta and two weeks after IEM Rio 2024, creating a tightly-packed schedule ahead of the RMRs.

Invites are set to be revealed for ESL Challenger Katowice via the ESL World Ranking on September 23rd, while the qualifiers are set to run shortly thereafter. There is one qualifier slot for NA, with the open qualifier set to start on September 26th. Teams interested in signing up may do so here.

Last year's Katowice saw Party Astronauts in attendance, with the team exiting the LAN in the group stage after a win over Bravado and losses to Virtus.pro and ENCE.
