Complexity survive home pick scare against Swedes
It was simply too easy for Complexity this afternoon as the Americans absolutely crushed their Swedish opponents in a 2-0 beatdown. Their European counterparts struggled to get anything going on their own map pick of Ancient, but did threaten slightly on Vertigo. Regardless, it was Complexity who were constantly in control as they trailed for only three rounds in the entire series.
It was just too easy for Complexity on Ancient as they started things off with a pistol win that propelled them to nine rounds on the CT-side. With such a daunting lead, it didn't take much for the Americans to swiftly close it out 13-3 as they stole away Ancient from the Swedes.
Vertigo was a bit tougher for the Americans as Metizport seemed to put up more of a fight as Complexity looked to lose very winnable rounds constantly. The Americans struggled initially to get their T-side rolling as they fell behind 3-6, but salvaged a 6-6 half. The CT-side was even more back and forth as Metizport forced overtime after Complexity scraped by, bit by bit.
In overtime, Complexity finally appeared to settle down as they secured three CT-sided rounds in a row to take a 15-12 advantage before closing it out 16-12 to win their own map pick and move on to the next round.
