Complexity falter at final hurdle
It was a tough task for Complexity to go up against the world's best team in Natus Vincere, but it was probably even tougher when the team saw Anubis slip right through their grasp. The squad ended up falling 0-2 against the European powerhouse as their dreams of direct qualification to the Fall Finals were dashed.
The American squad can now look towards the European showdown as the only avenue left for the lineup to qualify to the BLAST Premier Fall Finals as the squad is desperate to show that they are still worthy of being considered among the world's best.
Anubis was Complexity's choice to start the series off. While the squad jumped out to a solid 6-1 lead to begin the map, they did unfortunately fall behind 6-9 in the second half. Eventually the Americans were able to tie things up at 10-10 and then even looked poised to take control with NAVI on an eco-round, but a few miscues and suddenly Complexity found themselves on the losing end of a very winnable map.
Nuke, now with the squad still reeling from the close loss on their pick, was not as competitive as they would have hoped. Natus Vincere's T-side was overwhelming as they jumped out to a 9-3 lead and eventually closed out the map 13-6.
Complexity will have to move on from this tough loss in Copenhagen as they prepare themselves for IEM Cologne later next week.
