USA wins opening IESF regional matchup

It was a strong victory for the United States as the nation's representative secured an opening 2-0 victory over Colombia to begin their group play in the North American qualifier.

The squad is comprised with a majority of players from Perserverance, with Nolan "louie" Herges from MIGHT filling in for Venezuelan Nelwin "nooz" Gonzalez.

America and Colombia got things started on Anubis where Gabriel "Gabe" Shah dominated the server with an astounding 21 kills and 97 ADR. He powered his nation to a dominant 13-6 win to start off the series.

The US followed up the first map win with another strong showing against the South Americans. On Dust2 it was Collin "CoJoMo" Moren who dominated the server as he lead the way with 31 kills and a 149 ADR to help his side to a 13-10 win to sweep aside Colombia 2-0.

America is scheduled to play against Honduras in the second round matchup later today at 06:00PM.
