New NA transfers portal Nexus CS2 launches in beta
On July 21st, ESL Impact player and Limitless content creator Daria "daria" Anokhina announced the launch of Nexus CS2 in beta, a free product that aims to centralize and optimize the process of players and teams connecting to each other in the transfer season. In essence, Nexus CS2 serves as a "help-wanted" style board where players can announce they are looking for a new team and teams can announce they are look for players to fill certain roles on their team.
The purpose of this website is to provide much-needed infrastructure to the NA scene that allows players and teams to quickly assess what pieces are available on the market in one location. Previously, the ESEA filled this niche as its transfer tracker and forums served as a centralized locations to find out about LFT and LFP opportunities. However, with ESL transitioning all of their leagues to FACEIT, this was lost in the shuffle as the FACEIT website still lacks a forums and transfer tracker.
While the service has only been live for around 48 hours at the time of publication, it has already seen interest from a number of ESEA Advanced and ESL Impact players/teams, including Austin "chante" Ganster and ESL Impact squad ATS Doves.
Overall, daria's initiative in launching the product is great to see as an example of grassroots efforts in the NA scene to provide new opportunities and bring a heightened level of professionalism to our burgeoning scene.
