Maniac on Complexity's loss: "This is an absolute disaster, it's a laughable result"
Complexity is reeling after their surprising loss to M80 this morning, especially as the top-ranked American team was up 7-1 in the elimination match.
M80's Mason "Lake" Sanderson proved to be the star of the show as the rookie dominated throughout the match and was his squad's best performer and only trailed behind Michael "Grim" Wince on the server.
Following the game, analyst Mathieu "Maniac" Quiquerez spoke about Complexity's loss and had some harsh words for the squad that was coming off of a victory at DreamHack Jönköping just before the player break.
You talk about an upset, I am upset. I am upset from what I have just witnessed. I am all over the place, honestly. I can't help but have a little empathy for the catastrophe that Complexity just went through. This is an absolute disaster, it's a laughable result if you consider how in control they were. They were up 7-1, even then 4v2 situations. M80, as Lake was saying, lost for solutions, not in the game at all, not in right sync. How the hell did we end up here?
Complexity are now eliminated from the Esports World Cup and will need to prepare for the upcoming BLAST Premier Fall Groups where they are scheduled to face HEROIC on July 29th.
