CCT's opening stage finishes with no big surprises

Last night solidified the final three teams that would progress to the final sixteen for the first CCT North America Series as the group stage finally comes to a close this week.

Limitless, Final Form, and Akimbo were able to take their wins over Perseverance, Strife, and Zomblers, respectively. Zomblers, for those who are unaware, disbanded while in the middle of the group stage and forfeited their matches against FLUFFY AIMERS and Akimbo giving both teams a brerth to the playoffs.

Alongside those three teams, OMiT and LAG earned the high seeds as they cruised through the group play with perfect records while E-Xolos LAZER, Snakes Den, and FLUFFY AIMERS progressed with only one loss to their name.

These teams will now join the eight invited teams which include Legacy, Take Flyte, Elevate, BOSS, Wildcard, Mythic, Nouns, and Carpe Diem. There is a lot of speculation on BOSS for Friday's match as the squad have not yet announced their fifth following the departures of Josh "PwnAlone" Pigue due to retirement, Justin "FaNg" Coakley who left for Party Astronauts, and Tom "Axed" Ryan who took a break from competition.
