A tough day at the office

Liquid fall to MOUZ

MOUZ take them down in a clean 2-0.

While this wasn't a playoff qualifying match, this was a win that Liquid definitely would have enjoyed. Sadly, that was not in the cards for them as they fell to MOUZ 2-0. MOUZ have now earned themselves a bye to quarter-finals while Liquid needs to go to the second round of playoffs.

Liquid went ahead and picked Nuke to start off the contest where the squad put up a respective five rounds to start off their T-side. The second half got significantly worse for the Americas squad as MOUZ secured the first five rounds to put them immediately on match point. Liquid were able to respond with six rounds of their own and looked poised to bring it to overtime only for MOUZ to win the final round of regulation, securing Nuke 13-11.

Mirage was worse for Liquid as they struggled defensively against one of MOUZ's best maps. Liquid were only able to put up five CT-sided rounds and struggled to get their offense going as MOUZ cleaned up the map 13-7 and took the series 2-0.

Liquid will still have to wait until all the matches are finished and even until the playoffs begin to find out who their next opponent will be.
