What to expect from FaZe v. NAVI
It's the dawn of the final day, FaZe and NAVI overcame great odds to get here, to the PGL Copenhagen Major grand final. Both teams were expected to drop somewhere along the way, as Spirit were looking good to take down FaZe and NAVI had to face a streaky Eternal Fire and G2, but here we are.
Will Finn "karrigan" Andersen renew his record of being the oldest CS Major winner ever or will Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen finally get revenge after five years? Whatever happens, we are in for a treat as both teams have looked good ever since the start of the playoffs, but FaZe are seen as small favorites.
FaZe UP!
It was not a good Elimination Stage for FaZe, who started its PGL Copenhagen Major run with a 13-10 loss to Heroic. The worst was yet to come, as, after beating FURIA to boast a 1-1 record, FaZe would get destroyed by Eternal Fire 13-1. The Clan looked vulnerable and despite surviving elimination against Imperial, they didn't do so convincingly. Then Complexity appeared, who had no chance against karrigan and co.
The stage is different, where some players crumble and disappear, FaZe is full of players who love the stage and that has been a difference-maker in this playoff run. Can they finish it with a Major win?

broky has been stupendous

karrigan is at home in the Royal Arena

ropz and frozen can turn up at anytime
-
rain is a former Major MVP, he still has that level
NAVI Nation
Who would have guessed that NAVI's return to the Major stage would happen without Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyljev? The truth is that Aleksib has been leading this team very well, and is surrounded by a lot of talent. Their run in Copenhagen was almost cut short after starting with a 2-0 record but having to face paiN in the 2-2 do-or-die series. Just like FaZe, NAVI have been enjoying themselves on the Royal Arena and are looking set to take the win.
Is this the start of Ihor "w0nderful" Zhdanov's legacy with NAVI? Can Aleksib finally win a Major? Does this squad even need s1mple to come back?
-
w0nderful is carrying hard
-
Aleksib calling has been on point
-
b1t and iM have been underperforming
-
jLegend, he is just so good
Previous Matchups
These two squads have faced each other three times recently. Twice on CS:GO and only once in CS2 during IEM Sydney 2023. Before the switch from CS:GO to CS2, NAVI had beaten FaZe two times with 2-0 wins, but Sydney saw FaZe taking a 2-1 win.
Likely Vetoes
FaZe is the higher seed, so they can choose to be first or second in the veto. Usually, teams tend to choose to be second.

NAVI ban Vertigo

FaZe ban Anubis

NAVI pick Mirage

FaZe pick Nuke
