GGPR kick Turismo
GGPR have kicked Michael "Turismo" Haas from the team after failing to play their opening match in ESEA Premier Season 36 against Oceanus. Turismo’s sudden disappearance required GGPR to use backup player Brandon "YuZ" Cyr in their 2-0 loss to the French Canadians.
Chase "lowrider" Releford told Dust2.us that 30 minutes prior to the start of the series against Oceanus, Turismo said that he would be unable to play due to "getting DDOS’d". Upon learning of this, GGPR’s coach Erich "ninja" Beyer offered to try and help solve the issue as he is a network engineer however after this Turismo allegedly turned off his cellphone and could not be reached until after the series. lowrider said that Turismo’s dodged the series so he could "go hang out with his girlfriend" also alleging that a previous teammate of Turismo told him that Turismo habit of "going MIA" for "tough matchups".
Turismo told Dust2.us that none of this is true and he legitimately lost connection to the internet and was working on fixing it when GGPR decided to play without him. He says that once the issue was fixed he didn't try to rejoin as YuZ was already standing in for the team. He also says that lowrider was unwilling to talk with him after the game, meaning he couldn't defend himself.
Since being kicked from GGPR, Turismo has joined ImPerium's ESEA slot, with the team telling that he will be a substitute player if needed.
As a result of Turismo’s removal, GGPR are reduced to:
- Chase "lowrider" Releford
- Evan "Creed" Dao
- Jeorge "jeorgesnorts" Endicott
- Omar "3ARK00Z" Elyyan
- Erich "ninja" Beyer (Coach)
- Jake "eXotic" Vaupell (Backup)
- Brandon "YuZ" Cyr (Backup)
GGPR will be on the lookout for a new fifth ahead of their next match against Rise on February 2nd.
