Update: ESEA announce Season 36 details*
Following the conclusion of the ESEA MDL and Advanced playoffs, ESEA have announced details for the 36th season of the league.
As with previous seasons, new teams are able to sign up for the division immediately, while teams already in the division will be able to register following move-ups on December 12th.
Registration will remain open until January 11th, while teams that have less than four paid players will be removed six days later. Notably, this year's schedules will be released earlier than usual on January 14th, at which point teams can begin scheduling and vetoing for matches. This season's roster lock will be on March 7th, the regular will end on March 22nd, and playoffs will end on April 18th.
Important dates
- Registration closes: January 11th @ 3 AM EST
- Teams with less than 4 paid players removed: January 18th @ 3 AM EST
- First default day: January 18th
- Roster lock: March 7th @ 6:59 PM EST
- Regular season ends: March 22nd
- Playoffs end: April 18th
Update: In the original version of this article, Dust2.us claimed that ESEA MDL Season 36 would be a training season; however, per ESEA, no decision has been made currently. We apologize for the error.
The basis for this assumption is the currently provided dates for ESEA MDL Season 36 and ESL Pro League Season 13. As EPL Season 13 is set to begin on March 10th, prior to the end of the Season 36 regular season, it is unlikely Season 36 is tied to Season 13.
