Complexity's comeback against NAVI sets up FaZe rematch
Complexity faced NAVI today in the quarterfinal of the BLAST Premier Fall Final. In a match where the winner would go on to face FaZe in the semifinal, Complexity pulled off an incredible comeback after losing the first map.
Yet another great series from the North American squad, this time avenging yesterday's loss against Vitality.
The series started off on Anubis, picked by NAVI. The first half saw Complexity fall behind 9-3 as NAVI, carried by Valeriy "b1t" Vakhovskiy, showed a lot of offensive prowess. During the second half, Complexity showed a lot more life, managing to shrink NAVI's lead to just 12-10, but couldn't force overtime as the European squad closed the map 13-10.
On to Overpass, Complexity extended the winning streak on the map to six straight victories. An incredible 9-3 T-side, with four Complexity players hitting the 10 kills mark each, the North American side got a comfortable lead going into the second half. NAVI started its T-side with three round wins, but Complexity closed the map 13-6.
The Nuke decider had Complexity starting on the CT-side and winning the first two rounds. NAVI got the lead at 4-2, but Complexity got five straight, guaranteeing the lead going into the T-side, but NAVI sent the map to halftime with a 7-5 deficit. NAVI managed to tie the game and get the lead 8-7 but an incredible force buy round with a 1v1 clutch from Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski got Complexity back on track. 9-8 to NAVI quickly turned to 11-9 in favor of Complexity after two amazing rounds and an eco from NAVI. The EU squad got back on the board but another incredible clutch, this time from Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli, got Complexity on series point. A quick round would clinch the series for Complexity 13-10.
With this win over NAVI, Complexity are scheduled for a rematch against FaZe, tomorrow at 11:30AM. This is also Complexity's first time in the Royal Arena.
