Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 1 Day 1 Recap - Nouns dominate, Daaku land major upset
The first day of Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 1 is all wrapped up, and fans that tuned in to the official Dust2.us Twitch channel were treated to an early upset.
Before Day 2 begins, let's get caught up on what made Day 1 so special.
BLUEJAYS 1-2 
Daaku
BLUEJAYS, the highest ranked team competing at the event, shockingly lost to an unranked Daaku roster last night. After BLUEJAYS took Train 13-9, Daaku evened up the series with a 13-10 Mirage win before heading to Ancient. And despite BLUEJAYS leading 10-2 after their T-side, Daaku answered with an even more impressive T-side, winning the second half 11-1 and taking the map 13-11.
Swedish player Anton "magi" Alevärn led the way for Daaku, with 71 kills against only 43 deaths in the series.

Nouns 2-0 Super Shy
In contrast to the closely contested series between BLUEJAYS and Daaku, the series between Nouns and Super Shy was taken care of quickly by the higher ranked Nouns. Nouns won 13-5 on Mirage, then shutout Super Shy on their Inferno T-side, taking the map 13-1.
Everyone on Nouns put up great numbers, but Paytyn "junior" Johnson led the way with 33 kills and only nine deaths.

Marsborne set the tone for the series immediately, decisively taking LOBOARMY's Ancient pick via a 13-5 scoreline. LOBOARMY responded with a better fight on Train, but Marsborne emerged victorious with a 13-11 win, fueled by a 30-kill map performance from Marshall "Minus" Sedowicz.
