kassad claims Falcons is paying NiKo about €70,000 per month

Serbian CS2 pundit and coach Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović recently claimed on X that a single monthly salary of a Falcons player is "equivalent to two months' worth of salary" for GamerLegion's entire team.

That left many fans scratching their head and questioning kassad's claims. This week, however, kassad broke down the math and said that Nikola "NiKo" Kovač is making €70,000 (~$79,100) per month in Falcons in the latest episode of the Hot Take Point Made podcast with Duncan "Thorin" Shields and Alex "Mauisnake" Ellenberg.

Here are kassad's arguments for saying that one Falcons player earns twice as GamerLegion's full roster:

15 months ago, NiKo's salary was supposed to be above €60k and that's 15 months ago. His value went up, he was a top-3 player, he had an amazing year, and inflation as well. Let's add 10% and make it €70k now.

PR, the kid from GamerLegion, was supposed to play in BLEED. In MOUZ NXT, he [was making] 2.5k. In BLEED, he was supposed to get 3.5k and that was the deal. Then MOUZ said they wanted to keep him for the Major substitution spot, and then BLEED just imploded and scammed everyone, and then he went to GamerLegion. Do you think he got more than 3.5k? I don't think so.

Do you think Tauson has a fucking 15k salary? Do you think that ztr has a fucking crazy salary? Or sl3nd, who got bought out from Endpoint for over $100k, do you think he has a crazy salary? No. All these people combined don't have 30k. I don't know about REZ, because he was in NIP and had something like a 20k salary or something. But the thing is, he probably has less now. And then we have all these people in Falcons who get 30k a month.

Should kassad be correct, Falcons is going to spend a whole lot more in salaries as they're reportedly adding Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov before the BLAST.tv Austin Major in place of Abdul "degster" Gasanovand, and Maksim "kyousuke" Lukin in place of René "TeSeS" Madsen after the Major.
