Complexity reverse-sweep Aurora to advance to PGL Bucharest 2025 semifinals
Complexity's fairytale at PGL Bucharest 2025 continues as they eliminated Aurora, the highest-ranked team of the event, in the quarterfinals this Friday, April 11th. The series could have gone the Turks' way, but Complexity scrapped their biggest victory in the season so far as their individuals stepped up and made a difference.

Anubis:
Aurora 13-9 Complexity
Aurora enjoyed dominant CT-side on Anubis until Nick "nicx" Lee cleared the A bombsite with a fast 3K with the Tec-9 and AK-47. That play gave Complexity more confidence to hit the bombsites fast and they successfully played their trades in these fast executes.
Complexity started their CT-side strong as they won the force buy after losing the second pistol. But, they gave up way too many first kills by relentlessly trying to push Aurora. The Turks were prepared for those plays and they also won two 1v1 clutches against Danny "Cxzi" Strzelczyk, which paved the way for their victory.
All in all, it was a nice try from Complexity, especially from Cxzi and Michael "Grim" Wince, as they dropped 19 and 22 kills, respectively.
Train:
Complexity 13-9 Aurora
Complexity found only six rounds on the T-side of Train as Aurora showcased a good approach on how to slow down Johnny "JT" Theodosiou and co. even before they hit the bomb sites.
Complexity enjoyed a good start on the CT-side, but as the match went on, Aurora found some good gaps on COL's defense over at the B bombsite and knew how to exploit them.
But, just when Complexity most needed someone to step up, JT won a 1v1 clutch against Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli in round 20 despite having no Kevlar and nailed a nice 3K in round 21 to stop Aurora's B execute. The South African IGL truly paved the way for Complexity to win the map and force the decider.
Nuke:
Complexity 13-9 Aurora
Back-and-forth action was all we had at the start of Nuke as İsmailсan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş aced Complexity in a force buy round only for Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli to shut them down with some incredible Scout kills. That gave Complexity momentum to win the T-side by 8-4.
The game remained tense in the second half and could have very much gone Aurora's way, but hallzerk was feeling truly inspired on the map and helped Complexity to win the nail-biter.
Complexity will now wait for the result of G2 vs. Virtus.pro as they'll face the winner in the semifinals tomorrow, 01:00PM
