Liquid bounced out of PGL Bucharest 2025 in siuhy debut
Team Liquid are out of PGL Bucharest 2025 in a dissapointing debut for Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek at the IGL position. Liquid went 0-3 via losses to Legacy, Virtus.pro, and finally The MongolZ, winning zero maps.
For the second straight series, Liquid started strong on Mirage but ultimately let the map slip away from them. Despite a 9-5 lead while on the CT side, Liquid gave up eight of the next ten rounds to lose 13-11, with Keith "NAF" Markovic contributing just one kill in a brutal second half.
The MongolZ' momentum carried over into Liquid's pick of Anubis, as the top Asia-Pacific roster jumped out to an early 6-1 lead, despite some strong individual numbers from Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken. Liquid managed to recover some rounds before half-time thanks to the AWP of Roland "ultimate" Tomkowiak. Despite some early Liquid rounds in the second half though, The MongolZ defended the A site well enough to close out Anubis 13-7.
While today's loss and the overall showing at Bucharest is surely disapointing, it's no reason for Liquid fans to completely panic. The roster has only had a few days of practice with siuhy as the IGL, and clearly need more time to iron things out. And the good news is that Liquid has already guaranteed a spot in Stage 3 at the BLAST.tv Austin Major.
